OK OK ... so I'm sittin' out on the front porch this fine afternoon, sippin' a cold beer & listening to some BB King ... just really kickin' back and enjoying being alive ... and all the sudden mah lil' petite flower, Olga, comes out and commences to raggin' on me something awful about mowing the grass. Now I ask you ... does this grass need mowin' yet? HUHHH?? Hell no, it don't. Sometimes I just don't understand women.
The human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
Caramelized onions, garlic & sausage added to the grits
And of course, a lil' dat good Tillamook cheddar
Turned out into small loaf pan - chilled overnight. Will slice it today & fry it, for to side up some blackened chicken breasts ... thinkin' a lil' homemade creole sauce might find it's way to the top of them fried grits, too...
Topped with parmesan & ready to be wrapped in foil & baked
Big ol' knob of butter to seal in the garlic clove
Lil' crater stuffed with a whole garlic clove, which btw is to die for after it's baked. I like to take the baked garlic clove after it's baked & schmear it on a grilled steak or a piece of crusty bread.
Onion crater, carved out with a melon baller tool ~ easy peasy.
The Native American Indians believe people have nine animal essences or totems that walk through life with them ... teaching guiding and protecting them. These nine totems remain the same throughout your lifetime; however, major life alterations can cause your totems to change as you adapt to your new life style. Your totems are found in 7 directions around your spirit: East, South, West, North, Above, Below and Within. The last two animals are walking beside you at all times; your Right Side (male) and your Left Side (female). My male totem is the American Bison ... and my female totem is a Deer. Do you know your animal totem?
BBQ Chicken, the way my Dad used to make it ... cooked over hot charcoals, slathered with Kraft Original BBQ Sauce & burn the hell out of it. Sometimes I yearn for the burn, baybee!! Pretty food is highly overrated.
Some fresh steamed carrots (cut with my handy dandy lil' fru fru krinkle cutter tool) and fresh broccoli
Mais ... my lil' petite flower, Olga, wouldn't let me start drinkin' beer and eating chips & dip this early in the day ... so I spun up a lil' crabmeat wit that corn dip and made me an omelette for breakfast this morning. It did not suck.
Smoked/Chopped Piedmont style pork bbq, on soft bun with thin slice of baby Swiss, dill slices, splash or three of Crystal hot sauce & topped with ny new slaw creation: Cajun Power Slaw w/hot garlic dressing
I've eaten lotsa bbq sandwiches ... these might have been the best
