Whooooboy ... this lil' piggy did not die in vain, ah garrontee. I got this big smoked, bone-in ham on sale yestiddy at the local groceria for $.99/lb ... and jacked it up to the moon by slow baking it for about 4 hours, glazing the last half hour with a glaze made with homemade apple/vidalia jelly & whole grain mustard. Ain't no fancy city vittles!! I saved the pot likker and the hambone for to make a big batch of Hoppin' John on New Year's Day.
