This is the front and back of my 7th grade report card ~ signed by my dad (reluctantly every time, I might add) and Ethel Griffing, who was my 7th & 8th grade teacher. Her husband, Leo Griffing, was the school principle.
What? I never said I was the sharpest tool in the shed!! LOL The irony here is that I graduated from Washburn University cum laude, earning 2 degrees in 4 years & making the Dean's List every semester. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, eh?
Oh, Chez. I reckon you were plenty sharp, but just had more interesting things to think about than school work.
ReplyDeleteI was bored outta my mind most of the time, myself. My middle school grades were mostly dismal -- and I ended up an honor grad in college, too.
hey mzmare, how y'all are? i guess we just late-bloomers, eh ... good on ya fer gettin' them good marks in college. i was just bidin' my time ... mah ol' daddy always said: "ain't no sense in swingin' for the fence until the bases is loaded"
ReplyDeletebe well, cher
Hey sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI got $14 to my name right now and I'm about to spend $10 of that on gas to go meet someone at the barn. Heh.
But by this time next week things should be considerably less tight. I have some money coming from small commissions & also a few days cash labor for a painting contractor this coming week.
Just had an email from potential mural client; answered that; crossing fingers. Got to run out the door now!
*hugs*
