I set a pound of beans t'soakin last night ~ cooked them in homemade ham stock fortified with pureed homegrown tomatoes until they were nice & thick/tender ... then added all the veggies above, sauteed in Burgers bacon ... along with some other stuff

Other stuff being brown sugar, Steens molasses, some homemade bbq sauce and a couple other *secret* ingredients

Turned out into casserole dish & baked until nice and thick

Hot out the oven ~ drizzled wit some Steens cane syrup ... sometimes beans is damn good groceries.
Those beans look amazing! Love the use of celery in it - I'll have to try that.
