Fat Bottom Mary's Moosehead Chili ~ 3 Alarm

There's so many good things in this chili, I don't even know where to start with the gestalt ... but suffice to say, the addition of smoked pulled pork din't hurt it none, no.

OK, I been getting requests for this chili recipe all day ... Homie don't do recipes, but I'll list ingredients & you gonna hafta wing it from there:

5# fresh ground chuck
1# smoked/pulled pork, chopped
quart of whole tomatoes
2 cans french onion soup (undiluted)
1/2 can chipotles in adobo
1 lg onion, diced
2 poblanos, diced
3 anaheims, diced
fresh garlic, chopped
1# beans, soaked
1 bottle moosehead beer
#5 can tomato juice
beef base
williams chili seasoning
smoked ancho powder (penzeys)
cumin (penzeys)
mexican oregano (penzeys)
salt & pepper
honey

  3. Looks like a dandy recipe. The onion soup surprised me til I remembered we put onions and beef broth in ours. I'd already decided to put pulled pork in my next batch as a first.

  4. yo bigdude, i like to dump the whole tomatoes, french onion soup(undiluted) and the chipotles/adobo in the blender & buzz it all together ... makes a nice beefy/tomatoey/oniony/chipotley sauce to serve as the foundation for the chili.
