My dad used to hang out at a local tavern in Wea, KS that always had a big jar of pickled eggs on the bar. I love those things. I was in Deadwood, SD a few years ago on the 4th of July and ate at a local hole in the wall and they had them. Haven't had a good one since.
fas as i'm concerned, a bar ain't worth going to if it ain't got a big jar of pickled eggs sittin' on the counter!! (g)
