Country Music: R.I.P.

Well, country music is now officially dead ~ I watched some dat CMA Awards Show last night, and what a damn freak show it was. Hootie & The Blowfish? Kid Rock & Lil' Wayne?? Kenny Chesney & THE WAILERS??? Come on, man ... there wasn't a real country artist in the whole damn building ~ sheeeeit, it's no mystery why all the REAL country artists avoid that freak show. Nashville has finally gone completely Hollywood ... one mah friends said it best, when about halfway thru dat glammed-up parade of pimped out posers he said: "I'm still waiting to see someone who knows where the feed store is." LOL ~ I don't think Hank done it that a'way....

Hank Williams III said it best a couple of times. "Pop Country Really Sucks" is a very true statement from his Dick in Dixie song, and his newest album has a song titled "The Grand Ole Opry Ain’t So Grand" Its sad too. There is still lots of great county music out there, ala Hank III, but Nashville has been brainwashing morons from coast to coast for the better part of 20 years.

Check out the song "Murder on Music Row" by Larry Cordle. "Old Hank wouldn't have a chance on today's radio since they committed murder down on Music Row." Truer words were never spoken.

I feel yer pain Chez. It's not just country music though. Everything seems to be sinking lower n lower kinda like you pulled the stopper on a sink full of dirty dish water. Golf for instance with them kids with wierd hair do's and cloths. Sure not Tigers fault, he has more class than most of the ones I'm talking about put together.
