Not Yer Father's BLT

Been eating BLTs till they comin' out my ears ~ wit homegrown tomatoes in season, gotta make hay while the sun shines. Made one a lil' different today: homemade cornmeal kaiser bun, toasted & schmeared wit a bacon/asiago primavera spread, then run back under broiler to git all bubbly & golden brown ... then railed up wit a lil' grass between the tracks & topped with sliced homegrown tomatoes & a few peppers.

No one I know, except my own family (German heritage grandparents, NE Mo farmers ca 1900) think a BLT must include a fried egg and either swiss or cheddar cheese. Actually a BLTEC. Dagwood would be proud of it.
