Ham Sandwich ~ 30 Cents

Woolworth menu from the year I was born ~ 1951 ... can you get a slice of apple pie anywhere today for 15 cents ~ I don't think so. When I was a lil' peeshwank growin' up on the farm, we always did most of our *tradin* locally ... but every 3-4 months we would all load up into the car & drive up to the big city of Topeka & go shopping. There weren't no malls in them days, if you wanted to go shopping you went downtown ~ why, because dat's where all the stores were ... including Woolworths ... and another cafeteria where my folks liked to eat, Myron Greens.
