German Slaw

Just made this big bowl of German coleslaw to take to a party tomorrow ~ this is my all-time favorite slaw: fresh cabbage, sweet Texas 1015 onions, few scallions, celery leaves, carrots & green peppers and a sprinklin' of mustard seeds & celery seeds ... then bring the dressing to a boil, and pour hot dressing over the slaw ~ toss and chill overnight. The dressing consists of sugar, oil, vinegar, dry mustard, salt & pepper.

This looks delicious! I have a recipe from my Aunt that's similar. We are on DIETS...do not post any BBQ for awhile!

I see you been cookin and eating and postin up a storm as usual. I wish I had the fixens for this slaw here as we is fixen to haul off and barbecue a couple o chicken halves and fix a pan of sizzlin fresno shrimps in our fahjeeter pans and this slaw would fit in purdy good. We is just practicing on the chicken for a non sanctioned contest, but I bet it makes a good suppa tomorrow.
