I was fortunate enough to live in Norman Oklahoma when Alan Munde made his home there in the 70’s and 80’s. He and Roland White and various members of the Country Gazette played all over town when getting ready for a tour or coming back from one. Special fun- Alan’s ‘Ice Cream Socials’ in a small park in the old part of town. Their album ‘American and Clean’ remains one of my all time favorites. Joe Carr had a lot to do with that one. Perhaps their best lineup.
Caught Roland in Nashville a number of times. Just pickin and grinning.
