Every time I visit New Orleans, I find myself drawn back down the rabbit
hole of Marie Laveau. The sheer mystery of her history captivates me.

Mmmmm... I'll be right over. lol
mais ... you don't fool me, seesta ~ i know you got a big ol' stash of morels in yer kitchen!! word travels fast on the internet...(g)
Never had those but they looked great
Dang Chez, I wish I had a big ol plate of those right now.
bigdude, a friend of mine brought me these morels ... i'm gettin' too long in the tooth to trudge around the woods hunting them anymore. the morel season might be over already, where you live ... but you might want to check craig's list - lotsa sellers there. they ain't cheap, usually about $25/lb around here.
john the season prolly just getting started up in yer neck of the woods, eh?
Everyone here in Manhattan is going on about their morels, it makes me jealous every year, but I don't have the first clue on where to go to find 'em. They look so good!
Chez, I have a couple of spots I'm going to check out this weekend.
stacia, there's no real rules where morels grow ... along creekbanks is good, in woods around fallen/rotted trees, along fence rows ... i've even found them growing in old country cemeteries. if all else fails, check the manhattan craigs list - not cheap - $25/lb ~ but a pound of morels is a nice feast.
lol but dang it, yours look better than mine! :)
